What is CBD

SO WHAT DO THOSE THREE LITTLE LETTERS MEAN?

Well CBD is short for Cannabidiol and is one of many compounds present within the Cannabis Sativa plant. Chill out it isn’t going to get you high and CBD is a perfectly legal substance within the UK.

CBD is extracted from the plant in such a way as to leave but a minuscule fraction of the compound Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, aka, the stuff that gets you high) behind.

“None of our products contain more that the legal limit of THC (0.01%)”

Where do our oils come from?

All of our oils are low THC derived from hemp. They have full traceability lab reports.

What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?

Here is the science bit……..did you know that every vertebrate animal on the planet is born with an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) within them. Scientists discovered this in the 1980’s whilst studying what cannabis interacted with in our bodies.

The ECS is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids. These are a class of chemicals called neurotransmitters which, when cannabinoids such as CBD are introduced to the body, bind together and then communicate back to the ECS information that it can then use to help the body reach a state of homeostasis.

Homeostasis is the equilibrium of a system, essentially, a balance of your internal, physiological self. Achieving homeostasis is integral in maintaining your health and well-being.

Whilst research is still being carried out as to how these results are achieved, we cannot make any specific nor authoritative medical claims as to the efficacy of CBD. We do not advertise or market it as anything but a food supplement.

WHAT IS CBD USED FOR?

CBD is widely reported for its health and wellness benefits. People around the globe have made use of CBD as a lifestyle enhancer and often report relief of unwanted physical feelings and anxiety .It is often used as an alternative to help restore wellbeing for the mind and body.

A lot of misinformation and confusion surrounds the use of CBD. Herbalists have been using plants , botanicals and terpens for centuaries. We ensure that our products are made accessible to everyone, fully lab tested and meet current UK law with less than 1mg THC per container or are THC free.

Due to the rules and regulation’s put on CBD products by the MRHA and FSA we cannot say that CBD products can alleviate or help with specific medical conditions. However we can say that CBD works with your endocannabinoid system. To find our more about this system go to the about CBD page. We recommend that you do your own research into CBD so that you can make an informed decision before buying our products.

What dosage do I need?

Everyone is different but we recommend you start on a low dosage of CBD like 300mg. If you notice a difference you can stay on this dosage or move up to 600mg or 1000mg to see if it makes a further difference. Higher dosages are available on request.

Yes it is perfectly legal as long as it contains less than the legal limit of THC (0.01%) as set out by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA)

Will CBD get me high?
